In August 2016, Alphachimp was commissioned to create a chalk mural for the NYC office of Matter, a bi-coastal new media incubator.

As venture capitalists, Matter looks for early-stage media ventures that are changing media for good. Ventures that have the potential to make society more informed, connected, and empowered. Both the space—titled the Google News Lounge—and mural serves to illustrate the history of both organizations as they collaborate with journalists and entrepreneurs to build the future of media. The mural and space were sponsored by Google News Lab and co-designed with a team from Sparks.
